A total of 20,000 Romanians have spent the Easter holidays at Bulgaria's seaside, resort owners announced.

Bulgaria's neighbours took advantage of the lucrative offers and the fine weather to spend a long weekend on the beach although the weather was a tad too cold for a dip in the Black sea.

Most Romanians arrived by car, and more than 5,000 vehicles have entered Bulgaria from its northern neighbour. Local police complained that the Romanian drivers tended to disregard traffic rules this weekend and caused a number of minor accidents.
